Small harbor town on Schouwen-Duiveland with one of the highest concentrations of protected monuments in the Netherlands. Medieval town gates, a stub of a cathedral tower that was never finished, and an old inner harbor lined with historic vessels reward slow wandering. It pairs well with a drive over the nearby Zeelandbrug or a visit to the Oosterschelde shores.
