One of the few Dutch beach villages with a south-facing shore, which earns it more sunshine hours than most of the coast. The wide sandy beach below high dunes draws families in summer, while the compact village core keeps a low-key Zeeland character. Dune stairs and a seasonal beach pavilion scene make it an easy day trip from Domburg or Vlissingen.
