Cuba's highest mountain range runs along the island's southeastern coast and served as the base for Fidel Castro's guerrilla campaign in the 1950s. Trails lead to the rebels' preserved headquarters at Comandancia de la Plata, hidden in cloud forest. The range offers the country's most serious trekking and a deep dive into revolutionary history.
