A long, reef-sheltered bay on Mahé's southeast coast, its calm shallows dotted with granite islets that make for easy snorkelling straight off the beach. The adjoining village is one of the island's larger settlements, with local takeaways serving Creole fish curries. It was once the site of an 18th-century French spice garden.
