Good to know
A sleepy port city on Tanzania's northern coast with wide streets of decaying German and British colonial buildings and a working sisal heritage. The Amboni limestone caves and the Tongoni ruins lie just outside town, and it serves as the gateway to the Usambara Mountains and Pangani coast.
