The wildest of the three reserves along the Ewaso Ng'iro River, a landscape of lava flows, springs, and doum palms beneath the flat-topped Mount Shaba. Conservationist Joy Adamson lived and died here, and the reserve remains far quieter than neighboring Samburu.
