Pico do Facho

The highest point on Porto Santo, this 517-metre peak once carried a signal fire that warned of approaching pirates. A short drive and walk reach the summit, which opens onto a sweeping panorama of the golden beach, the town of Vila Baleira and the surrounding islets.
