A Moche ceremonial pyramid complex near Trujillo consisting of multiple superimposed construction phases, each built over the previous structure in a repeating cycle of ritual burial and rebuilding. The friezes exposed on interior courtyard walls display painted relief panels depicting the Decapitator deity, sacrificial scenes, and geometric wave patterns in red, cream, and black mineral pigments. Excavations continue and a portion of the site remains active archaeological terrain.
