Mont-Tremblant National Park in the Laurentian Mountains north of Montreal protects 1,510 square kilometres of rolling forested highlands bisected by clear rivers and studded with hundreds of lakes. The park's interior road system and maintained portage routes make it accessible both by car and canoe, and its autumn hardwood display draws visitors from Montreal and the northeastern United States in late September. Lynx, black bear, moose, and loon are resident species within the park.
