The Gulf Islands National Park Reserve is scattered across numerous islands in the Strait of Georgia between Vancouver Island and the British Columbia mainland, preserving the warmest and driest climate zone in Canada. The shallow marine waters, Garry oak meadows, and sandstone shorelines of the Southern Gulf Islands support rare species not found elsewhere in the country. Saltspring, Pender, and Saturna islands each contain park land accessible by BC Ferries.
