Okanagan Lake is a long, narrow glacially carved lake in the semi-arid Southern Interior of British Columbia, stretching 115 kilometres through an orchard and vineyard landscape sheltered by low, golden hills. The city of Kelowna sits near the lake's midpoint, connected to the west side by a floating bridge, and the lake's warm temperature makes it suitable for summer swimming. The surrounding Okanagan Valley produces a significant share of Canada's wine output and tree fruit.
