The Nā Pali Coast stretches along Kauaʻi's northwestern shore as a sequence of fluted green cliffs rising more than 1,200 meters directly from the Pacific. Sea caves, hanging valleys, and waterfalls punctuate the 27-kilometer coastline, which is accessible only by sea kayak, boat tour, or the demanding Kalalau Trail. Late-afternoon light intensifies the emerald ridgelines against the deep blue water, making it one of the most photographed coastlines in the Pacific.
