A rugged limestone island lying southeast of the Bali mainland, Nusa Penida is known for dramatic coastal cliffs, sweeping ocean viewpoints, and the presence of oceanic manta rays at cleaning stations. Kelingking Beach, with its T-rex-shaped headland and white sand below sheer cliffs, has become one of Indonesia's most photographed coastal scenes. The waters around the island are a regular habitat for Mola mola sunfish during the cooler months.
