Khao Lak

Khao Lak is a stretch of beach resorts and villages along the Andaman coast about 80 kilometres north of Phuket in Phang Nga Province. The area has several kilometres of relatively wide, uncrowded beaches backed by casuarina trees and low hills. It serves as the primary embarkation point for liveaboard dive trips to the Similan and Surin island groups. Khao Lak-Lam Ru National Park, which encompasses forested hills and sea cliffs immediately to the south, adds a nature component to the destination.
