Ko Phi Phi Don is the largest island in the Phi Phi archipelago and the only permanently inhabited one, situated between Phuket and the Krabi mainland. Its most celebrated geographic feature is the narrow isthmus of Tonsai, flanked by two crescent bays whose turquoise water and limestone cliffs create compositions widely reproduced in travel photography. The island is accessible only by boat, and the viewpoint above the isthmus offers perhaps the most iconic panorama in the Andaman Sea.
