A three-tiered waterfall system near Jungmun on Jeju's southern coast, Cheonjeyeon descends through a series of pools set within a forested basalt canyon. The first tier, a single 22-metre plunge into a cave-like grotto, is accessible via a short paved trail from the entrance. A seven-arch stone bridge spanning the canyon upstream — Seonimgyo — is decorated with carved apsara figures and is a distinctive architectural feature of the park.
