The largest surviving concentration of traditional Korean hanok architecture in the country, Jeonju's Hanok Village encompasses approximately 700 courtyard houses and dozens of heritage buildings spanning several centuries. The village is equally celebrated for its cuisine — bibimbap is said to have originated here — and supports a thriving craft culture of paper-making, fan-making, and traditional textile dyeing.
