Encompassing roughly 1,700 islands and islets off the southwestern tip of the Korean Peninsula, Dadohaehaesang is Korea's largest national park by area. The scattered islands range from uninhabited granite outcrops to fishing communities connected by regular ferries, offering a slow-travel experience of tidal mudflats, camellia-covered hillsides, and traditional maritime culture largely unchanged by mass tourism.
