A two-kilometer stone path following the Biwako Sosui canal between Ginkaku-ji and Nanzen-ji, named after the philosopher Nishida Kitaro who reputedly walked it daily. Hundreds of cherry trees line the canal, producing a celebrated blossom canopy in late March and early April. The walk connects several important temples and shrines, making it a natural framework for a half-day cultural itinerary.
