The Annapurna Circuit is one of the world's most celebrated long-distance treks, circumnavigating the Annapurna massif through diverse ecological zones from subtropical lowlands to high-altitude semi-desert. The route crosses Thorong La Pass at 5,416 metres, the highest point of the classic circuit. Villages along the way include Manang and Kagbeni, each retaining distinct Tibetan cultural character. The trek typically takes 12 to 21 days depending on the starting point and side trips taken.
