Bandipur National Park sits at the meeting point of Karnataka, Kerala, and Tamil Nadu in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, its dry deciduous teak forests and grasslands forming a continuous wildlife corridor with Nagarhole and Mudumalai. Tiger and elephant sightings are well-documented here; the park's elevated areas also produce long-range views across the neighbouring Nilgiri Hills at sunrise. Government-operated jeep safaris run from the forest department office at the park's core.
