Gokarna

Gokarna is a small pilgrimage town on Karnataka's Konkan coast, flanked by a series of beaches accessible only on foot along clifftop paths — Om Beach, Half Moon Beach, and Paradise Beach. The town centres on the Mahabaleshwar Temple, which houses the Atmalinga enshrined according to Shaivite tradition; the atmospheric old town of narrow streets and traditional tile-roofed houses contrasts with the quieter beach settlements to the south. The cliff walk between beaches offers consistent views of the Arabian Sea.
