Bekal Fort is a laterite sea fort in Kasaragod district, northern Kerala, occupying a headland that extends into the Arabian Sea on three sides. Built primarily in the seventeenth century and among the largest surviving forts in Kerala, its circular bastions and observation tower afford panoramic views of the coastline stretching in both directions. The fort's elevated platform over the sea is a well-known photography vantage point, particularly effective in late afternoon light.
