A dirt track lined with massive Adansonia grandidieri baobabs rising up to 30 metres, this stretch near Morondava is among the most photographed landscapes on the island. The trees, some estimated to be over 800 years old, cast dramatic silhouettes at dawn and dusk when the red laterite soil glows beneath them. Early morning and late afternoon light produce the most striking conditions for photography.
