A small village at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dune field in the Sahara, serving as the main gateway to Morocco's most accessible stretch of high sand dunes. The village itself is modest, but the surrounding landscape — salt flats, black hammada plain, and the abrupt rise of the dunes — creates a stark and photogenic frontier. Dawn over the dunes from the village rooftops offers unobstructed views of the orange light spreading across the crests. It is also a departure point for multi-day desert treks deeper into the Sahara.
