Bojnice Castle rises above a thermal spring park in the town of Bojnice in central western Slovakia, its Romantic neo-Gothic silhouette of towers and crenellated walls built at the end of the 19th century over an older medieval core. The castle's palatial interiors contain tapestries, paintings, and carved wooden furniture assembled by its last aristocratic owner. A cave chapel accessible from within the castle descends to a natural cavern containing the original spring.
