Verbier is a ski resort at 1,500 metres on a south-facing plateau above the Val de Bagnes in Valais, forming the central hub of the Four Valleys ski domain that connects to Nendaz, Veysonnaz, and Thyon. The area is internationally known for extensive off-piste terrain and freeride routes, particularly the Mont Fort and Mont Gelé sectors. In summer, the mountain bike trails and paragliding flights from the plateau attract adventure sport visitors.
