Logarska Dolina is a glacial valley in the Kamnik–Savinja Alps, enclosed on three sides by steep limestone walls reaching above 2,000 metres. The valley floor is pastoral, with scattered farms and hay meadows, while the Rinka waterfall drops 90 metres from a hanging valley at its head. The enclosing mountains are reflected in the valley's calm air and the landscape changes dramatically with season, from summer green to deep winter snow.
