Myrtos Beach on the northwest coast of Kefalonia is consistently cited as one of the most visually dramatic beaches in Greece, set in a steep-sided cove where white cliffs composed of white limestone descend to an arc of brilliant white pebbles and intensely blue-green water. The beach is accessible via a winding road with a sharp descent and has no shade structures, so the raw natural setting remains dominant. The clifftop viewpoint on the road above provides a classic high-angle photograph looking down into the cove.
