On the Italian southern slope of the Matterhorn—known here as the Cervino—Breuil-Cervinia sits at 2,050 metres and provides high-altitude skiing with links to the Swiss Zermatt resort. The Plateau Rosa lifts reach 3,488 metres, making this one of the few Italian resorts with summer glacier skiing. The Matterhorn's distinctive pyramid silhouette dominates every view from the resort's upper slopes.
