Riva del Garda

At the northern tip of Lake Garda where the lake meets the Sarca river valley, Riva del Garda is enclosed on three sides by cliff walls that funnel predictable thermal winds across the water. This consistent wind pattern makes the bay among the most popular windsurfing and kitesurfing destinations in Europe. The medieval Rocca castle sits on a small islet at the harbour entrance, connected to the old town by a causeway.
