Es Trenc is a 5-kilometre beach of fine white sand and clear turquoise shallow water on the south coast of Mallorca, protected within the Ses Salines Natural Park and virtually free of the hotel and apartment development that characterises much of the island's coastline. The beach faces south into the Mediterranean and benefits from warm, calm water in summer, and the dune vegetation behind the beach is protected from vehicles. Its combination of natural setting, sand quality, and water colour makes it consistently cited as one of the best beaches in the western Mediterranean.
