Sóller is a historic town in northwestern Mallorca situated in a broad valley of orange and lemon groves enclosed by the Serra de Tramuntana mountains. The town is connected to Palma by a vintage narrow-gauge railway running through five tunnels and across a viaduct, a journey that has remained largely unchanged since 1912. A secondary tram line links the town centre to the harbour of Port de Sóller, passing through terraced orchards above the bay.
