The only strictly coastal national park in Great Britain, Pembrokeshire follows 186 miles of cliff and beach along the southwestern peninsula of Wales. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path traverses the full length of the park, passing through a varied sequence of red sandstone headlands, drowned river valleys, and offshore islands. Skomer and Skokholm Islands, accessible by ferry from Martin's Haven, support one of the most significant Atlantic puffin colonies in Britain.
