The highest mountain in Wales at 1,085 metres, Snowdon is the dominant summit of the Snowdonia massif and one of the most climbed mountains in the world by absolute numbers. Its glacially sculpted ridges, including the Snowdon Horseshoe — a circuit of the Crib Goch arête and the Y Lliwedd ridge — are among the finest mountain walking experiences in Britain. The summit café and the Snowdon Mountain Railway terminus make the top accessible to a wide range of visitors, particularly in summer.
