A natural limestone arch on the Jurassic Coast, Durdle Door frames a sheltered shingle-and-sand cove on the Dorset shore. The arch is best photographed from the clifftop path to the east at sunrise, when low-angled light catches the rock face and reflects off calm water below. The surrounding coast is a UNESCO World Heritage Site representing 185 million years of Earth history.
