Luskentyre is a broad tidal bay on the west coast of the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, composed of shell-sand beaches extending for several kilometres backed by low dunes and machair grassland. The shallow bay produces exceptionally clear turquoise water at low tide, often compared to tropical settings. The Luskentyre estuary and surrounding hills are subject to rapidly changing light conditions, making the beach a highly regarded photography location.
