Loch Lomond

Loch Lomond is the largest inland body of water in Great Britain by surface area, lying within the Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park on the Highland Boundary Fault. Its southern end is shallow and island-studded, while the northern arm narrows dramatically between steep wooded hillsides. The loch is accessible from Glasgow within an hour and serves as a gateway for walking, kayaking, and cruises to its numerous islands.
