The Glenfinnan Viaduct is a curved concrete railway bridge built between 1897 and 1901 on the West Highland Line, spanning a glacial valley at the head of Loch Shiel. Its twenty-one arches and sweeping curve across wooded highlands have made it one of Scotland's most photographed engineering landmarks. The steam-hauled Jacobite excursion train crosses the viaduct during summer months, producing a frequently sought scene by photographers.
