A headland at the southernmost tip of Norway, where the Skagerrak meets the North Sea, situated in Lindesnes municipality in Agder county. The lighthouse at Lindesnes, first lit in 1655, is Norway's oldest lighthouse still in operation, and the promontory provides a view across open water in three directions. The exposed location is known for dramatic weather conditions when Atlantic depressions cross the area.
