A national park in central Nordland protecting the Svartisen glacier, Norway's second-largest ice cap, along with a diverse landscape of alpine peaks, coastal fjords, and boreal forest. The Engenbreen glacier arm descends to within a few hundred metres of the Holandsfjord, one of the lowest glacier termini in mainland Norway. The park straddles the Arctic Circle and includes some of the most varied ecological zones found within a single protected area in the country.
