Múlafossur is a waterfall that drops directly from a highland plateau over a vertical cliff edge into the sea below the village of Gásadalur on the island of Vágar. The view from the rim of the plateau above Gásadalur takes in the full drop of the falls with the open Atlantic behind them, and in strong westerly winds the water is blown backward over the cliff. The scene is one of the most reproduced landscape images from the Faroe Islands.
