The Nagoya TV Tower is a steel lattice broadcasting and observation tower in the centre of Nagoya, completed in 1954 and the oldest of Japan's major consolidated broadcast towers. Rising about 180 metres, it stands in a landscaped park strip that runs through the city centre. Recently renovated and rebranded, it now includes an observation deck, a hotel within the tower and a sky walk, with views over the surrounding parkland and the city grid. Recognised as an important cultural property, it is a forerunner of later towers.
