The ArcelorMittal Orbit is a looping red steel sculpture in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, built for the 2012 London Olympics and designed by Anish Kapoor with the engineer Cecil Balmond. Standing about 114 metres, it is Britain's tallest sculpture, its twisting lattice wrapping around two observation decks that overlook the former Games venues and the East London skyline. Visitors can descend by an enclosed tunnel slide added later, one of the longest in the world.
