A multi-storey indoor market in Beijing near the Temple of Heaven, this bazaar is best known for its vast selection of freshwater and saltwater pearls sold across an entire upper floor. Lower levels pack together stalls of electronics, clothing, watches, souvenirs and accessories, all sold through vigorous bargaining. Popular with foreign visitors and tour groups, it has built a reputation as a place to buy pearls at negotiated prices. Its dense floors and persistent haggling give it the feel of a modern covered bazaar.
