Grace Cathedral crowns Nob Hill in San Francisco, an Episcopal cathedral built in the twentieth century in a French Gothic style using reinforced concrete. Its bronze entrance doors are casts of Ghiberti's famous Gates of Paradise from Florence, and the interior holds vivid murals and modern stained glass. Two labyrinths, one indoors and one outside, invite visitors to walk a meditative path. The cathedral is known for its embrace of contemporary music, art and social engagement.
