Egmont Palace is a grand aristocratic mansion in central Brussels now used by the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for receptions and international conferences. Founded in the sixteenth century and rebuilt after fires, it combines classical and later nineteenth-century architecture around formal courtyards. Its richly decorated salons have hosted major diplomatic events, including treaty signings. The adjoining Egmont Park links to the Sablon district, while the stately interiors remain reserved for official state functions.
