Millennium Tower

This tall observation tower rising above central Abuja was conceived as a national monument and cultural centre for the new capital. Its slender concrete shaft, begun in the 2000s, stands beside a low crescent-shaped cultural complex intended to house exhibitions and performances. Designed as an emblem of the planned city, the structure dominates the skyline near the presidential and legislative quarter. Though its completion has been prolonged, the tower already functions as a recognisable landmark within Abuja's spacious grid.
