A museum in Charlottenburg specialising in Art Nouveau, Art Deco and Functionalism, opposite the palace. It grew from the private collection of Karl Bröhan, who gathered furniture, glass, ceramics, metalwork and paintings from around 1890 to 1939. Rooms are arranged as ensembles that show how designers of the period unified interiors into total works of art. Works by Berlin Secession painters hang alongside porcelain and lacquered cabinets, complementing nearby fine-art museums.
