Iririki Island

Iririki is a small island set in the middle of Port Vila's harbour, reached by a short shuttle ferry from the town waterfront. Historically the site of the British Residency during the era of joint Anglo-French rule, it later became a resort island offering swimming, snorkelling and views back across the water to the capital. Its slopes are covered in tropical gardens and bungalows, and walking paths circle the shore. Central yet secluded, Iririki gives visitors an easy island escape within sight of Port Vila's shops and market.
